Time Travel

I was wondering & discussing the possibility of Time Travel with a friend of mine, If it is possible to travel between Future & Past and whether or not we gonna one day reach this point and travel between the two extreme.. In response to my question..  They said that they do not think it’ll happen one day! I was like what?? Come on, who knows? Maybe one day!! They think it won’t ever happens, because until this moment we have not encounter someone or something from the future! In fact it is a very good point of view. But at this point.. The question is: Is the starting point going to begin from here? Meaning are we gonna be the future in which the time travel will be initiated? Or there is some sort of existence to other worlds which might be very advanced and yet still examining the possibilities of Time Travel?
