Day 4 – Back to Kuwait from Moscow

We landed in Abu Dhabi at 8:30 PM and stayed at the Dhabi Lounge passing time for 6 hours transit.

I’ve got this hand craved souvenir from Moscow, so unique.

Moscow Day 3

Then we went a mall in the underground just beside the Kremlin.

We then took the tour bus and stopped just in front of Saint Basil’s Cathedral

We start walking from here.. crossing the bridge discovering moscow by feet.

haven’t eat anything since we left the hotel. and thought of having something before we start our walk.

I took croissant from a near by cafe. which was neather good nor bad!

while we were walking we came across this beautiful church.

Something really strange I’ve noticed in Moscow it’s like flying cotton falling from the trees, and covering everywhere! It feels like snowing but instead of snow cotton alike something!

Then we went to Arbat Stray again as my friend wanted to get more souvenir from their. while we were there we were almost starving and came across the Coffee Room.

I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the food were great.

I ordered Americano. It was midnight and we wanted to end our last day in the sitting in front of the Kremlin, having our coffee there.

The interior of Starbucks looks like an arty place. What caught my attention is the heaters! looks so vintage and cool.

Moscow Day 2

We woke up at 12:41 PM since we didn’t sleep well the day before.. heading to MTC to get a prepaid card to use the Internet.

We took a prepaid card with 3 GB for 401 Rubles. and then we went to cool street where Starbucks located.

I took Matryoshka (Nesting Doll) Starbucks tumbler and surprisingly I they sell VIA coffee which I didn’t find in my previous visit to Barcelona!

I was shocked with the total price in the bell, a 18 % tax was included !

Loved how name was written in Russian letter at my cup.

From Starbucks we went back to the Kremlin on our way to the Red Square where the Saint Basil’s Cathedral located.

GUM Mall was on our way so we thought of checking it up.

I loved the colors of the Cathedral looks like a fancy church. and from the inside it looks even better.

I am in Kuwait International Airport right now.. We planned a short trip to Moscow, as I always wanted to visit Moscow long time ago, and finally decided to do so. We book our flights via Etihad Airways. From Kuwait to Abu Dhabi and then from there to Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow. Our Flight scheduled 11:15 PM from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi and we reached there at 12:55 AM for an 8 hours transit. We wanted to stay at the Airport Hotel but it was quite expensive! Finally we decided to stay at Al Dhabi Lounge to pass time there.

The Lounge was good. Shower rooms, and the food was good as well.

Our flight to Domodedovo at 8:45 AM on the 6th of June 2013. We reached Moscow at 2:10 PM.

and from there we exchanged some Dollars for Rubles for the taxi at the airport. The price is normally less at the airport and it’s recommended to exchange the currency at the hotel. at the Airport Exchange the $1 equals 26 Rubles. and the taxi asked for 2500 Rubles from the Airport to our hotel (Hotel National).

The traffic was too bad, it took us 2 hours to reach the hotel. The exchange rate at the hotel was much better $1 = 31.76 Rubles. and 32.90 if you want to sell. We’ve upgraded our room to a studio with a view to the Kremlin.

The staff at the hotel welcomed us with some biscuits which they call cookies. Thy were yum yum yum.

Everything were a walking distance from our hotel. we didn’t take metro or taxi. The red Square is 12 minutes walk from the hotel and the other attractions is about 25 minutes walk. We payed the hotel in cash and headed to Bushka Restaurant which was recommended by many on the Internet.
